Cornell method

Mind mapping

A visual technique for organizing information and ideas around a central theme, creating a tree-like structure on a blank page. It involves key words and images for a broad topic.

  • visual learners

Outline Method

Organizes notes hierarchically with main topics indented to the left and supporting details indented further to the right, using numbers, letters, or bullet points to create a logical structure that shows relationships between ideas.


Good for:

  • creating structure 

  • highlights new ideas

  • details and content heavy subjects

Box Method

A visual note-taking technique that organizes information into distinct boxes, with each box containing a specific topic or idea.
